Event Description:
Mitchell Lake Audubon Center has a rich history. The lake, once a sewage lagoon, is directly in the path of the Central Flyway, a natural migratory bird route. Listen as we go over the history of our land and water, how our lake system was formed, and how the lakes have gone from sewage sites to critical bird habitat for over 300 species of birds.
