Artistic techniques with alcohol inks is a different way to document the plants and wildflowers you record in your nature journal. Specific focus: coneflowers.
Event Description:
Express your love of coneflowers with a new artistic technique using alcohol inks on Nara paper. With this unique medium you’ll enjoy creating your own blooming abstract coneflower fields with experienced artist, Andrea Patton, as your guide. Starting out small painting single coneflowers, Andrea will instruct as you perfect your skills using alcohol inks before moving on to create your own blossoming field.
This class is open to both beginners and intermediate artists looking to learn a new technique for painting, ages 16 and up. Participants will take home two pieces of art, both filled with beautifully blended coneflowers and a new skill!
Please note: Supplies are included with registration. Alcohol inks can stain clothes, please bring a smock or an old shirt to wear. Alcohol inks can also have a strong smell and may stain hands. A face mask and latex-free gloves are optional.
