The presentation on rain stewardship will follow a brief business meeting which begins at 6:30pm.
Event/Webinar Description:
The talk will cover our land’s history, its ability to capture rainfall and the importance of land/home stewardship. Rooftop rainfall capture and the basics of rainwater harvesting will be explained. The use of the water for livestock, wildlife, birds, irrigation and in-home use will be included, as well as the presenter’s experience. He and his wife have lived totally off rainwater at their home near Menard and done so for 20 years – without ever running out of water. At their farm, they also collect and use rainwater for their greenhouse and to supplement the water supply for livestock and irrigation.
