Accessing nature can be a struggle for those with different abilities, and one of the best ways to make nature accessible is to look at each person’s individual needs. Using the film DisabiliTree: A Film on Disability and Trees, we will look at how some individuals with disabilities navigate disability and accessibility in nature. Through the platform of this film, we will discuss the most apparent barriers to accessing nature and learn from shared experiences.
