Event Summary:
McAllister Park is important to Bexar County…and it is tad more than just recreation. Join us to discover some of the intangible and irreplaceable benefits this park provides our community.

Event Description:
We will touch on geology, identify native plants, singling out some bird calls and discuss why all these things matter to us.. If you have an interest we encourage you to register and be advised there is no fee. Kid Friendly and if they get bored you can exit quickly. Walk is limited to 15 Adults. Please arrive at the Optimist Pavilion by 8:45. Walk will begin promptly at 9 AM and conclude at about 10:30 AM. This is an easy walk (about 1.5 miles round trip) over gentle terrain.

No pets please. Minors must be accompanied by an adult.

Walk is good for novice and who is somewhat unfamiliar with Plants in general.
Major theme is Environmental Benefits

Land Stewardship is directed to Visitor Behaviour.
Time Range is about 1.5 Hrs.
Can Schedule specific hikes / walks NPSOT on all trails and go to advanced education
