Hybrid Event Description: The Fredericksburg Chapter of the Native Plant Society of Texas invites you to explore the heart of our native Edwards Plateau ecosystem with us.
The chapter holds its monthly meetings on the 4th Tuesday of the month. There is a social time at 6:30 p.m. and the meeting starts at 7 p.m. The public is invited to attend in person and via Zoom.
1/28/2025: From Lawn to Photo Shop. Presenter: Arlon Motsch. Arlon Motsch, who chases tiger beetles with his camera and captures bees on “film” not with a net, takes us on an expedition from Lawn to Photo Studio.
02/25/2025: Let’s Get Growing: Learn to Propagate Native Plants, Presenter: Jonathan Watt, president of the Fredericksburg chapter of NPSOT, tells us, “we can do it too.”
Committed to people planting native plants, Watt will take us through the entire process of growing the plants you find in the wild. From seed collection to the care of tender young plants, he is planning to show us the how and the what to do in propagating native plants for our own landscape.
