Chapter Member Myrna Langford and husband David graciously donated copies of A Sand County Almanac for the Classes of 2011 and 2012.


The chapter and Friends of the Fredericksburg Nature Center shared the cost of a DogiPot litter bag dispenser located at the nature center’s trailhead. May 2011

KCPP bluebird habitat

The chapter funded Kendall County Partnership for Parks’ bluebird habitat signage at Kreutzberg Canyon Natural Area and James Kiehl River Bend Park in Kendall County. July 2011.

Kroc kids

The Native Plant Society of Texas awarded the chapter a grant to purchase nature study supplies for monthly after school learning programs at the Kerrville Kroc Center. 2011

Lowes donation

Chapter members constructed a water distribution system for the Butterfly Garden at Kerrville-Schreiner Park with materials donated by Lowe’s of Kerrville. April 2011.

The chapter contributed to Riverside Nature Center in appreciation of our ongoing partnership. June 2010

land owners

Upper Cibolo Land Owners Association donated to the chapter in appreciation of a five-property LMAP consultation. March 2010

The Texas Wildlife Association funded binders for the Hill Country Reference Manual for our Class of 2006.


sand county almanac

The Sand County Foundation donated copies of A Sand County Almanac for the Class of 2006. (Trainees received copies from the foundation from 2006-2010.)




Texas Lions Camp donated a portion of the classroom fee for fall 2005 training , and allowed access to their 500-acre natural area for advanced training. The chapter provided signage for the camp’s nature trail. (Chapter training classes continue to meet at Texas Lion Camp.)
