The Red Cross has targeted West Odessa as a critical need for service and they are doing this through an Asset Based Community Development program. Under that falls creating events that bring the community together. The Coalition decided a community based market with various non-profit organizations along with local vendors, hosting a back to school backpack and school supply drive would be an excellent idea for the community. We have other non-profit organizations working on the drive and we have started sending out an introduction flyer. It could be an amazing opportunity to introduce the community to the LETMN program.
We need volunteers to man an LETMN table to give out information and small giveaways like pencils. Please refer to the TTO email and contact Michele for more information and to volunteer.
