Texas Watershed Stewards Workshop

Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service will host a Texas Watershed Steward workshop in Jasper on May 21, 2019 from 1 to 5 pm. Longleaf Ridge students for the Class of 2019 may use this as part of their initial training requirements. Water quality related to the Lower Neches River watershed, along with land and watershed management, will be discussed. Topics will include water quality, water quality law, agricultural and urban best management practices, hydrology, and others. Light refreshments will also be provided. The event and it’s available continuing education credits are free and open to the public. The professional continuing education credits offered are applicable to, but are not limited to, certified crop advisors, Texas Department of Agriculture pesticide license holders, professional engineers, certified planers, landscape architects, professional geoscientists, certified teachers, certified floodplain managers, and select TCEQ occupational license holders.
