Workday at Watson Preserve
September 28 @ 9:30 am - 2:00 pm
Watson Preserve has scheduled a workday Saturday, September 28, 2019. We will start about 9:30 am. If you can’t make it by 9:30 am, come when you can. We’ll work until about noon and break for lunch. Whether or not we continue in the afternoon will depend on how hot it is and what everyone’s energy level is at that point. If you can only spare a small block of time, you will still be welcome and appreciated.
Our primary task will be cutting brush, so bring gloves and lopers. If anyone has a heavy-duty weed-eater with metal blades, that would be especially useful. And or a pole saw. If you don’t have tools, we can still find something for you to do.
Driving directions: The preserve is off of US-69 in Warren, TX. From US-69 turn east on County Road 4770, drive about half a mile to the bridge and then across the dam. At the top of the hill turn left on CR-4777. About a quarter mile on the left is the entrance to the preserve and a parking area. There are no restroom facilities on the preserve.
