Examples include floodplain buyouts in North Texas, stormwater parks in Houston, regional watershed planning in Bexar County, and living shoreline projects along the coast.<\/p>\n

Justin Kozak is a Nature-Based Solutions Project Manager for the Texas Chapter of The Nature Conservancy (TNC). His work supports TNC\u2019s Nature-Based Solutions strategy and projects that advance natural infrastructure and Nature-Based Solutions for addressing many challenges our communities face including flooding, water quality and supply, heat, loss of habitat and biodiversity, public health, and access to green space.<\/p>\n

Kim Patak is the Project Manager who specializes in stormwater management, flood resilience, green infrastructure, and watershed planning. Her work helps Texas communities address flooding and water quality challenges through practical, science-based solutions, including innovative One Water and low-impact development strategies that protect both people and natural resources.\u00a0<\/p>\n
