This presentation by Dr. Billy Teels will entail a brief discussion of the American Ornithological Society (AOS) Classification Committee Check-list of North American Birds and its history, the concept of a morphological vs. biological species, and recent amendment proposals to the Classification Committee for a few well-known species, some of which passed and some that failed.
Presentation will be in the ANC Education Center (Farm House) after the bird walk.
