Plant Survey at Held-Moran Sanctuary

Volunteer Opportunity! This weekend, Saturday and Sunday Feb. 24 and 25, there will be a plant survey conducted at the Held-Moran Wildlife Sanctuary in Flour Bluff. We will meet at the entrance on Mediterranean Dr and Tahiti St.
A core of individuals has been trained, but we still need assistance to record data and help traverse the area. Teams will be assigned on site so that someone on each team knows how to fill out the data sheet. We will be working three time shifts. You may work one, two or all three. Your help is greatly appreciated!
Time shifts are Saturday 9-noon and 1-4; Sunday 1:30 4:30. Remember that we will work in teams. We will meet at the gate at near Mediterranean Dr. and Tahiti St. We will concentrate on the perimeter quadrates. Wear protective clothing, insect repellant, sunscreen, hat, etc. Bring water and drink it. Chiggers and ticks are bad. Be sure to wear long pants, spray clothing thoroughly.
