Family Fishing Fun – BCPD

August 6 @ 10:00 am - 12:00 pm

Brazoria County Parks will be hosting a Family Fishing Fun Event on Saturday, August 6th. This event is designed to show first time anglers the safe and effective way to fish on the Texas Coast. It is also designed to get families outside and enjoying the resources of Brazoria County. Volunteers are needed to help man one of the learning stations of knot tying, rules and ethics, fish ID, fishing equipment, casting and fish habitat. After the learning stations, families will be fishing in the boat basin and will need help with putting their new skills to the test. Volunteers do not need to know how to fish. The six stations are easy to teach and can be learned in a few minutes. There are lesson plans available.  To register to volunteer or ask any questions call Mike Mullenweg at 979-864-1152.
