Title of Training: Sedimentary Rocks and Soils with Margaret Avard
Date of Training: Oct. 21, 2023 from 1:00-3:30 @ Hagerman Multipurpose Room
Description of Training: 2.5 hours total. Members may attend the first AT only or also stay for the outreach portion.
1.5 hours AT: introduction to and basic identification of sedimentary rocks, sedimentary rocks and geologic maps of Grayson County, Texas, and the U.S.; introduction to soil formation and types; comparison of rock and soil types in Texas.
1 hour AT specific to TPWD grant for the 5th grade classroom: presentation and activities to be used in the classroom.
