There will be a bluebird box work day Sat., Jan. 22 at 10:00 at Eisenhower State Park.
A lot will be involved, so we will divide and conquer.
We will be removing and disassembling old boxes, making predator guards, and assembling and putting up new boxes.
When you enter the park, stop at the booth and tell them you are a Texas Master Naturalist there to work on the bluebird box project. We will meet at the maintenance area: take the first right past the booth, then the first left into the parking area. Park to the left near the boat so the road will remain clear.
Please send an email if you plan to attend so we can tell Eisenhower how many to expect.
Bring work gloves and sturdy shoes if you plan to remove/put up boxes
If you have any of the following tools, please bring them. It would be much appreciated.
pipe cutter (3/4″ pipe)
battery-operated drills for phillips head screws
hammer/small sledge hammer
1/2″ wrench or socket
pipe wrench
