There is an organizational meeting scheduled for March 25 at Noon at the Hagerman training room for those interested in being involved in this year’s NatureOlogy Camp. Details are below.
This all day camp will be held on Saturday, June 17th at Hagerman. The camp lasts ALL day long and is geared for 5th-6th year old students. It starts at 7:30am and goes to 4pm. Registration is limited to around 30 kids.
We break them up into two groups. We have 2 blocks of 8 rotations throughout the day. One group doing Activity 1 and the other doing Activity 2. Then they switch.
It is an amazing camp. We do classes in Snakes, Water Cycles, Fishs, Birds, Bugs, Skins and Skulls, and Prairies. They also take a hike along Harris Creek Trail and have a class in Nature Art.
So I am inviting you to join us for either a morning or an afternoon or all day.
Let me know if you are interested. It is a great way to have contact with young kids and to teach them about nature. It is also a good way to accumulate hours for BMN. You will be paired with a “veteran BMN member who will have a session planned out. Any new ideas will be welcomed by all.
If you are interested in attending and not already on the list contact Catherine Van Bebber cathyvanbebber@gmail.com
