Hiking Trail Maintenance Workshop – Castroville Regional Parks

Saturday, May 16, 2026 ·8:00am – 5:00pm Friends of Castroville Regional Park:

“HIKING TRAIL CONSTRUCTION AND MAINTENANCE WORKSHOP.”  This workshop will be conducted by American YouthWorks/Tx Conservation Corp from Austin.

This is a FREE Workshop.

Attendees will receive a Certificate of Accomplishment.

  Free Camping at Castroville Regional Park, Friday –  Sunday, if you are interested.

There will be 2 hours of classroom education reviewing the new 2025 Feb USFS Trail Maintenance and Construction Notebook.

Then 4 hours of applying new knowledge of Hiking Trail Maintenance in the Castroville Regional Park.

Tools provided, Please bring personal protective equipment, gloves etc and Hydration container.

To keep costs down please bring your lunch.  Water provided.
