We are excited to announce that the Fort Worth Stock Show and Rodeo is just around the corner, and Texas A&M AgriLife Extension will once again have a booth at this iconic event. This booth is a key opportunity for us to connect with the public, share valuable educational information, and highlight our programs in agriculture, gardening, and community health.
We are looking for enthusiastic volunteers to help staff the AgriLife booth (Jan 18 – Feb 8), engage with visitors, answer questions, and promote the important work we do. Primarily, this booth serves as an educational display on the designated topic, though we’re happy to share information about the Master Naturalist program as well. Please try to keep the booth setup consistent with the original arrangement, as it will also be used for school tours.
If you require a table, let me know so we can arrange for a small folding table and chairs to be there for you. But please DO NOT request a table from the show. At the end of each day, we ask that you fold and store the table and chairs behind the curtain to keep the area clear and ensure nothing is misplaced, especially as we’ll be in a new space this year.
Here are some ways you can assist at the AgriLife booth:
By volunteering, you will receive a day pass to enter the show grounds. Once your shift is over you are more than welcome to enjoy the rest of what the Stock Show has to offer. There will also be a parking pass for the morning and afternoon shifts. However, there will only be 1 parking pass per shift; therefore, we do ask you to carpool with your shift partner. Once we get closer to the show, contact information, grounds map with booth and parking locations, and pass pick up information will be sent out to everyone who has signed up for a shift.
If you’d like to join us at the AgriLife booth, please click on the link below to secure a spot for either just working at the booth or helping with the School Tours.
Thank you for considering this opportunity to make a difference and share your passion with others. For your convenience here are links to Path to the Plate talking point and Highlights on Honey Bees to use during both events.
We look forward to an incredible Stock Show season with your support!
