Urban Coyote Workshop

Presented by the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department

Hosted by the Cross Timbers Master Naturalist Chapter
September 22, 2025 from 9:00 am – 1:30 pm
Betsy Price Community Center
8375 Blue Mound Rd, Fort Worth, TX 76131

Coyotes and bobcats live with and among people in all urban areas in Texas. The Dallas/Fort Worth area is no exception. These animals typically avoid people. Coyotes and bobcats are important predators in urban areas and keep other wildlife populations in check. Responsible precautions allow people and coyotes to safely co-exist within our cities.

Join us for a day of management advice from local urban carnivore experts.

Topics include:

  • Behavior Management
  • Coyote and Bobcat Biology
  • Responsible Precautions
  • Citywide Management Strategies
  • Hazing Techniques
  • Lethal Management
  • Educating Residents
  • Outreach Materials

Box lunch included with registration.

Continuing education credits available for Animal Control Officers.

Speakers include:

  • Karin Saucedo, Project Coyote
  • Jacqueline Sutherland Qualls, City of Dallas
  • Brett Johnson, City of Dallas
  • Adam Henry, USDA Wildlife Services
