The Mayor of Midlothian and the Midlothian Parks department hosted their annual Winter Walk at Mockingbird Nature Park on February 22nd. Indian Trail Master Naturalists were happy to provide education stations and nature crafts for the kids. Attendees were able to learn more about cavity nesting bluebirds, native bees, and make a wild ageratum seed ball to take home or plant in Mockingbird Park’s butterfly garden. The kids made mason bee houses and pine cone bird treats to take home. Charlie Grindstaff helped lead the nature walk.
