2022 Parktopia

July 22, 2022. Midlothian.

Midlothian Community Park was hopping as kids from across the community came to celebrate and learn more about their local parks. Indian Trail Master Naturalists had a table to help educate the public on the importance of fireflies and how they can help protect them in their own backyards. 78 children (and their parents) made firefly clothespins and also enjoyed decorating “tree cookies” to take home.

Thank you Jeffery Austin for organizing this event, and Maegan Bacon for the firefly crafts.
