Warbling 101
Jake Poinsett

Spring migration is a jam-packed event filled with neotropical migrants returning to their breeding grounds. Some of the most popular visitors are the colorful warblers heading north! Learn all about the different species that pass through Texas, as well as the species that breed in our area, how to identify them, and where to find them.

Jake Poinsett is the Education Manager at Trinity River Audubon Center. Before joining the National Audubon Society, he worked for Texas Parks & Wildlife, South Carolina State Parks, and the National Park Service. When he’s not birding at work, he’s birding on his days off, looking for snakes, and working on his prairie at his house with his wife and two dogs.
