Jacob will help us understand what wetlands are and what we can do to help conserve them. Starting with an understanding of the laws governing wetlands and why they are regulated, we will learn what makes land a “wetland” – the hydrologic evidence of a wetland, what makes wetlands unique, and their benefit to and impact on our environment including flood water retention/ground water exchange.
