Big Cedar Wilderness
Location: Prayer Mountain- 5950 Eagle Ford Dr. Dallas, TX 75249
Patriot Pavilion- 8701 Isom Ln. Dallas, TX 75249
Project Chair: Susan Vlach

Big Cedar Wilderness is the City of Dallas’s newest recreation area consisting of nearly 300-acres of pristine, wild, natural beauty. Bikers and hikers can experience nature and recreational opportunities on over 20 miles of established trails. Its thousands of preserved trees, hills, cliffs, and creeks are home to 73 threatened or endangered species. With its lush forests, trails, shade, and clean air, Big Cedar Wilderness contributes to the health and wellbeing of residents from all over the metroplex and surrounding counties. ITMN volunteers work on habitat restoration, removing invasive species, trail maintenance, tree trimming, and trash cleanup. Volunteers can also organize, lead, or conduct educational hikes for the public at Big Cedar Wilderness
