LRMN: High Island Birding Trip

High Island on the Bolivar Peninsula has lots of migrating coastal birds this time of year! They fly from Mexico in the evening and arrive at the Texas Coast by the early afternoon of the next day. It’s a fun experience to see and photograph these wild species!

The Houston Audubon offers several wooded areas that wildlife viewers can use to see these birds. Walk on the boardwalks, bring a camera and a pair of binoculars, and come have some fun!

Meet Fred Lyons at the Boy Scout Woods section at 10am. It’s up to you if you want to drive down there that morning or book a hotel the night before. Carpooling is also encouraged.
