The Jasper Master Gardeners and LRMN will work together to have events at the Jasper Arboretum to celebrate Earth Day. Last year was a hit, so we expect more may attend this year. Please note, this event was originally planned on April 21st, but was postponed due to severe weather threat.
Dan and D’Ann plan to have a table to teach foraging for edible plants and to introduce citizens to CoCoRaHS (a group for citizen scientists who report local weather conditions and daily rainfall).
They could always use volunteers to help answer questions, set up tables, point out butterflies & plants within the Arboretum.
This is a great outreach opportunity and one of the best ways to raise awareness for pollinators and their host plants!
