Download iNaturalist on your phone. Make observations and take photos of your findings and post them. They should automatically be included in the “Longleaf Ridge Master Naturalist” project if you are in Jasper or Newton County.

Bring whatever you need to make detailed, scientific observations, i.e. fully charged phone, a ruler to measure how tall a plant is, binoculars if you are looking for birds, a notebook to write down plant features/habitat notes, hiking shoes, and dress for the weather.
