There are many ways for chapter members to earn Advanced Training hours. The chapter provides advanced training at most of their chapter meetings. Members may also earn advanced training hours by attending approved training sessions from the chapter or other organizations, either on-line or in person.
Advanced Training at Chapter Meetings: Most chapter meetings provide one hour of advanced training by a guest speaker. These meetings are open to the public. Chapter members should log the time spent watching the presentation to the VMS opportunity “AT: RRTMN Chapter Meeting:TMN AT Report Hours” with the date, number of hours, and a short description of the training to include the month of the meeting and the speaker’s name and presentation topic.
Other Advanced Training Events: The chapter provides a weekly email with a list of advanced training events offered through the chapter or other organizations that are approved for earning Advanced Training hours. Many of these events are on-line events and require registration through the links provided in the email. Some may be in person, and some may require a small fee. Chapter members should log the time spent doing the training to the VMS opportunity indicated in the email for that event.
Notification for Advanced Training Events: Most advanced training sessions are open to the public. If you are not a chapter member but would like notification of the monthly chapter meetings and other advanced training sessions, please send an email to us at redrivertmn@gmail.com with “Mailing List Request” in the subject title. You will be added to our general email list and receive notification of our chapter meetings and a weekly email with the advanced training events for the week.
