This event is not hosted by RRTMN, but it is related to nature, and is possibly something ya’ll might like to go to!
From Ladonia Chamber of Commerce website:
“This is a come and go event! Starting around 9:00 am, on Saturday, October 19, come join us to see what fossils come from the North Sulphur River and talk to the pros.Dallas Paleontological Society will have members here to help ID what you have found in the past or that day. It’s a come and go event, so be prepared to take a journey into the river and look for fossils. We will be located in the parking lot on FM 2990 at the North Sulphur River. There are orange signs pointing to Ladonia Fossil Park. If you were here last year, note the new route which enters from the north side of the river.Bring cash for lunch from Big D’s food vendor or bring your own snacks. Don’t forget to pack extra water and bring something to carry your finds in. We will have port-a-potties available. Special thanks to Mick Tune and the Dallas Paleontological Society for all their expertise and involvement in this celebration of National Fossil Day.”
