Texas Pollinator BioBlitz
What is a bioblitz? Basically, it’s a field trip where photographers and iNaturalist enthusiasts can come to snap pictures of any kind of pollinator (insect, bird, bat, etc.) and the flowers they pollinate. As part of the Texas Parks & Wildlife Department’s statewide event, photos can be posted on Facebook, Instagram, or iNaturalist websites with hashtag #TXpollinators. This particular event is targeted to teach the public what a pollinator is and why it is important to protect them and provide them with habitat.
If you don’t know how to use iNaturalist, don’t worry we will teach you! Just make sure to download the app on your phone before you arrive.
Amateur and professional photographers welcome.
