Then the Texas Master Naturalist Program is for you!
You can join the Red River Chapter of the Texas Master Naturalist Program by attending an Initial Training course that provides a broad overview of many subjects related to nature, ecology and conservation. After completing the Initial Training Course and an additional 8 hours of Advanced Training and 40 hours of Volunteer Service, you will be a fully Certified Texas Master Naturalist.
The Red River Chapter is planning an Initial Training course to be held in the fall of 2025. The course will consist of 10 sessions beginning on August 23rd, 2025. After a break for Labor Day, sessions will be taught on consecutive Saturdays through November 1st, with a makeup day of November 8th, if needed. Class sessions are a combination of indoor classroom and outdoor field sessions taught by fellow naturalists and experts to provide an immersive experience in all aspects of learning and caring for the natural world.
