First step on the path to becoming a Master Naturalist is for applicants to complete the initial training, which consists of classroom sessions and field trips. All classes and trips are moderated by Rolling Plains chapter members and most are presented by faculty members of Midwestern State University’s science department.
The next training will begin March 5, 2026 and last through July, 2026. Classes will be on Thursday nights from 7:00 – 9:00 pm, at Midwestern State University’s Dillard College of Business Building, Rm 329, with some Saturday field trips. It is preferred that trainees attend in person, but Zoom links will be available. Field trips are in person only.
The cost for the training is $120 and includes all classes/field trips, textbook, and all printed materials.
The application deadline is March 4th, 2026. After being instructed to do so, please fill out a TMN Training Class Application and choose Rolling Plains Chapter.
