Leopold Week – two of three webinars

March 5 @ 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm

Join the Aldo Leopold Foundation for Leopold Week 2025, a three-day exploration of how our connections to nature begin right at home, featuring acclaimed authors Margaret Renkl (The Comfort of Crows) on March 4, Camille T. Dungy (Soil) on March 5, and Amy Tan (The Backyard Bird Chronicles) on March 6. Through their deeply personal narratives, these writers share the profound significance of observing and nurturing the natural world in our own backyards, gardens, and local landscapes. Their stories celebrate the sense of place, the resilience of nature, and the human responsibility to reciprocate the gifts of the land.
Together, these voices weave a tapestry of ecological insight and personal reflection, reminding us that even the smallest, most intimate encounters with nature can inspire wonder, creativity, and action. Grounded in Aldo Leopold’s enduring vision of a land ethic, this series of virtual talks will inspire you to see the land not just as a backdrop, but as a vibrant partner in the shared story of life. Don’t miss this unique opportunity to learn from three of today’s most resonant voices in nature writing as they guide us to rediscover the beauty and power of our own natural surroundings.
This event is free and virtual. Registration grants access to all three events.  Register here.  These are three different days: Mar 4 is Margaret Renkl, Mar 5 is Camille T. Dungy, Mar 6 is Amy Tan.  Each webinar should be counted separately.  Must be watched live.
