Join Texas Master Naturalists to learn about the mysteries of wind!
You might not be able to see it, but wind plays a large role in our everyday lives. Join the Big Country Chapter of Texas Master Naturalists for their annual Wings on the Wind festival! Learn about solar winds, weather patterns, and migrations of birds and pollinators that rely on the power of wind. Make memories with arts and crafts, measure your wingspan to those of birds of prey, and try your had at archery right here in Abilene State Park. We hope to see you there and enjoying all the festivities!
Where: Abilene State Park by the swimming pool & soccer field
Date: Saturday, September 21st
Time: Officially starts at 11 am and ends at 2 pm but feel free to arrive early if you are as excited as we are!
Bring: Water bottle, good shoes, and a sense of adventure Cost: The festival is free. Park entrance for the day is $5 per CAR!
