Join us at our monthly 9 Natives Garden Days at the Houston Museum of Natural Science. We are working with the Cockrell Butterfly Center to replant the garden following renovations.
We meet every Second Monday, 9:30 AM to 12:00 PM, and we hope to see you there!
Google map of the 9 Natives Garden is at this link – near the corner of San Jacinto and Hermann Park Drive. Three-hour free parking is available along Hermann Park Drive or in the parking lot with an entrance from the circle around the statue of Sam Houston. If you have problems finding the location, please DO NOT go into the museum to ask. They will not know.
We will have some tools such as hand weeders, hand shovels, and vinyl gloves for you to use. If you have them, please bring your own garden gloves and hand garden tools. Please bring your own refillable water bottle; we will provide water for refills. Also recommended are long pants, hat, sunscreen, insect repellent and close-toed shoes.
