Where: Coastal Prairie Conservancy Indiangrass Preserve – 31975 Hebert Road, Waller, TX 77484. (Groups will sometimes depart together to complete work on other Coastal Prairie Conservancy Preserves.)
When: Second Saturday of Each Month | 9 am – 11 am
Who: All are welcome to participate – no experience necessary. Groups larger than ten individuals, please contact volunteer@coastalprairieconservancy.org to register.
How to join: Please register below so we can email you with final reminders and work day updates.
Physical Requirements: Bending, kneeling, or sitting on the ground; some light lifting.
What to wear: Closed-toed shoes, tall socks, long pants, long-sleeved shirt, hat.
What to bring: Reusable water bottle, and gardening gloves (or we have pairs to borrow). All other tools are provided.
Volunteer benefits: Stewardship Saturday volunteers are welcome to join us for our guided “Ranger Treks on the Prairie” immediately after the volunteer event. Volunteers also occasionally get to visit some of our preserves that are closed to the public.
