Jesse Jones – Bird Survey and Hike

Volunteers will help with crowd control, and handing out of materials. They will participate in the hike and survey for birds, but no experience required.

Program Details: Meet in the nature center, then take a two mile, two hour walk on a paved, sandy or gravel trail. Please wear closed toed shoes and protection from the sun and insects. Binoculars provided. Bring a fully-charged cell phone with the Merlin and eBird apps downloaded; others will show you how to use them to collect data for the survey. Data reported to Houston Audubon as part of a larger project!
