WHERE: Nature Discovery Center, 7112 Newcastle Street, Bellaire, TX 77401
SERVICE: Volunteers will assist with the initial setup, staffing and ultimate breakdown of a GCTMN booth which will serve as a place of outreach focus for our chapter during this Nature Discovery Center (NDC) hosted event to help attendees celebrate Earth Day 2024. A number of environmental themed and focused booths will also be present and participate in the event. The messaging of our booth for this year’s event will be to provide general information about our Texas Master Naturalist chapter. Further, information about the State’s Master Naturalist program and the role of informed volunteers in our mission will be shared. Event organizers anticipate between 300 and 400 attendees this year. Our booth will be outdoors and NDC plans to provide a table and two chairs for our display materials. Please plan to bring your hat, sunscreen and a personal folding chair. If you have questions about the event and / or your planned volunteer outreach service, please contact David Gwin, Outreach & Communications, GCTMN at david.gwin@txgcmn.org.
