National Wildlife Federation is hosting our first annual Spring Showcase for our Houston area grant schools and is looking for some volunteers to assist with the event. Probably about 5-6 individuals would be ideal, more depending on the final number of schools that sign up. Please find event details, description, and Kate Unger’s contact information below.

Event Description:
NWF’s Spring Showcase celebrates the accomplishments of students and teachers involved in our grant programs throughout the greater Houston area. These schools have provided habitat for the monarch butterfly, implemented solutions for climate resilience, and enhanced outdoor learning areas on their campus; all while creating space for people and wildlife to thrive. This festival will feature presentation booths from various schools highlighting their hard work. Volunteers will assist the event organizer (Kate Unger) with a variety of tasks, including checking in guests at the main tent, helping school teams set up their booths, and ensuring an overall smooth experience for participants. There is the option of additional assistance on Friday afternoon, April 26th to assist with loading supplies at the Houston Toolbank and getting large items set up at the gardens.
Please email Kate Unger, NWF Resilience in Schools Coordinator for Houston (ungerk@nwf.org), if interested and able to assist.
