Surface Water Quality Monitoring Training

The Environmental Institute of Houston at the University of Houston-Clear Lake will be offering an in-person two-part training course focusing on the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality’s Surface Water Quality Monitoring techniques. The one-day partial course (March 14) will cover fundamental techniques for water quality and hydrological monitoring. The four-day full course (March 14-17) will cover protocols for biological and physical habitat monitoring with emphasis on wadeable streams. Each course day will consist of classroom and hand-on field-based instruction designed to explain the theory and methodology of SWQM procedures.

The cost of the partial course is $200, but an early-bird discounted rate of $175 is given if registered by February 18. The cost of the full course is $700 with an early-bird rate of $600. Registration is open now and closes on March 4, 2022. There are a limited number of seats, so sign up before the class is full!
