“The Grassroom” at Kolter Elementary School is a garden area incorporating Pocket Prairies, Pollinator Gardens, raised beds and orchards. We are very interested in involving the Greater Houston Community. Every first Saturday, from 9-12, students, parents, Middle School and High School Honor Society students plus scouts all volunteer. We would like to use our school’s wonderful gardens to teach the community. It would be great for Master Naturalists to help share how to care for Native plants and why it is so important.

Houston Botanic Gardens have 9am-12pm volunteer shifts every Wednesday through Saturday in their Native Areas, as well as specific "All Call" dates that are upcoming that will be just with their native plants and areas.
