Balcones Canyonlands National Refuge – Bridges to Birding Training

Bridges to Birding. School field trips are scheduled for March 7   (Thursday), March 20 (Wednesday), March 27 (Wednesday),

April 16 (Tuesday) and May 16 (Thursday). Training for the field trips will be Feb. 20, 9 a.m.-Noon, at Flying X (Balcones Canyonlands NWR) covering these topics:

1. What is a bird
2. Using a field guide
3. How to use binoculars
4. Bird songs and calls
5. Building a home
6. Habitat
7. Migration
