Each year, Highland Lakes Master Naturalists organize spring training classes. Registration information goes out in Fall, with classes forming by December. Training sessions begin in Late February/Early March. The sessions meet once a week for twelve weeks from 8:00 to 3:00. The trainings are classroom and “in the field” at various venues in Blanco, Burnet, Lampasas, Llano, and Travis County. Units of study consist of geology and archeology, ecological regions of Texas, land management, weather and climate, entomology, and other natural resource related topics. Training topics are taught by
regional experts.
