Bamberger Ranch – New Restoration Project

February 15 @ 10:00 am - 2:00 pm

Mr. Bamberger has undertaken a new restoration project on the ranch and needs some assistance from volunteers to complete his vision for a bird sanctuary. We made substantial progress in terms of removing downed trees on the Bamberger Ranch yesterday but were not able to finish this task.  There are some rather large trees on the ground which need to chopped into firewood and volunteers are welcome to take this firewood home with them.  Otherwise, the ranch will find a use for the firewood and will burn anything not suitable for firewood or kindling.

This activity is scheduled for Thursday, February 15th from 10 am to 2 pm.  Please respond if you plan to come so that I can let the ranch staff know who will be where and when.  We will meet at the front gate to the ranch at 10 am and then travel in a caravan to the worksite.  Recommended gear includes chainsaws, fuel/batteries, loppers, rakes, hats, safety glasses, gloves, and water.  Hope to see you there!
