National Free Fishing Day at Inks Dam National Fish Hatchery

*Saturday, June 7, 7:30 a.m. – 1 p.m. or so. Dozens of volunteers
needed to help with the annual National Free Fishing Day event.
Assignments: parking, registration, tackle check, fishing support,
ice/transportation and putaway. Preparation sessions are planned
for June 4 and 6. More details to come.

*Saturday, June 7, 9 a.m. – noon. The annual National Free
Fishing Day. A message from event leader George Brugnoli:

NEW We’re always proud to be HLMN members, but especially when we
can announce that we have 43 volunteers for National Free Fishing
Day, mostly HLMN’s and/or Hatchery Friends. In addition to lots of
fishing pole setup already completed (closing in on 200 loaner
rigs!), we are fully staffed for our two remaining preparation days
and for the big event. We know that many others couldn’t make
the date or it’s a drive too far or not what you do. Thanks to all of
you. However, for the many who have visitor’s next weekend, or
who may become available, how about joining us as fishers? The
attached flyer provides details. HLMNs, their family and friends are
most welcome. Bring big coolers with ice (we’re having ice
machine troubles).
