Science Mill: Pollinator Garden Cleanup!
August 18 @ 8:00 am - 10:00 am
As we await word on the grant through HLMN, we are doing a pollinator garden clean-up and need your help!
When: Tuesday, August 18th, 8am to 10/10:30am
Where: The Science Mill (backyard): 101 S. Lady Bird Lane, Johnson City, Texas 78636
Park: On the street or on the side of the building off Lady Bird Lane, and enter using the sliding gate to the backyard of the museum. (The museum will open at 9am for access to bathrooms.)
Sign in on the sheet provided, please, so we can keep records of participation.
Goals: 1) to remove weeds and mint from the proposed pollinator garden beds
2) to identify plants in surrounding beds using iNaturalist
Bring: gloves, water, trowel/shovel, pruning shears, and a hat! (it will be partly shaded at this time of the day)
I will have trash bags to remove debris.
If you can help identify plants using iNaturalist with your phone, that will contribute to the Science Mill log of plants.
Log time under HC Science Mill Public Outreach (Indirect)
Contact Samantha with any questions–feel free to just show up! Thank you!
