Veterans’ Day Fishing Event at Inks Dam National Fish Hatchery, Burnet, Texas
Date: Saturday, November 13th
Session 1: Morning Session 8 a.m. To 10:30 a.m.
Session 2: Afternoon Session Noon to 2:30 p.m.
Location: 345 Clay Young Rd, Burnet, TX 78611
Cost: FREE!!!!!
Whose welcome: Any veteran and their family that registers before the maximum of 40 persons/fishing session is reached.
Type of fish being fished for: Channel Catfish up to 9 pounds
Sponsors: Inks Dam National Fish Hatchery (IDNFH) and Candlelight Ranch
Rules:
1. You may use your own poles or those provided by the hatchery.
2. All hooks must be debarbed.
3. Each person in a family may keep 2 fish. (Bring your own cooler, drinks and ice.)
4. You MUST use bait supplied by the hatchery.
5. No fishing license is required.
6. When you arrive at the hatchery, you will have free parking. Once parked, the leader of each group will: 1) Have to sign in, 2) Have his or her equipment checked or be given equipment & 3) Be assigned a designated spot along the fishing pond to fish from.
7. To provide some safety against COVID19 virus, each family group will fish from their own designated fishing area. Additionally you will be asked to wear face masks whenever you are not in that designated fishing area.
PLEASE NOTE: THE MAXIMUM NUMBER OF PEOPLE THAT CAN PARTICIPATE IN EITHER SESSION IS 40!!!
THUS YOU MUST REGISTER (best early) TO BE ABLE TO
FISH IN ONE OF THE SESSIONS.

give: 1) Your name, 2) The total number of people in your group coming, 3) The ages of any children that will be in your group and 4) If you wish to participate in the morning or afternoon session. If you have any questions please put them in the email.
You will receive back an email telling you if you registered before the 40 person limit was reached or not in the session that you asked for.
