Water, Water Everywhere (Approved AT/In-person) Deadline to register 2/21!

February 21

The Texas Master Naturalist – Cradle of Texas Chapter is pleased to host our 9th Annual Advanced Training Day on Saturday, February 28, 2026 from 8am-3:30pm. Our theme this year is “Water, Water Everywhere” and we are excited to welcome our award-winning keynote speaker, Andy Sansom, Ph.D., Founder & Professor of Practice, Department of Geography, Texas State University, former Executive Director of the Texas Parks & Wildlife Department, and former Executive Director of the Texas Nature Conservancy. Please see the attached agenda for our full line-up of speakers and fun, hands-on Water Fair activities!

This in-person event will be held at the Dude Payne Event Center, Brazoria County Parks Department, 41871 State Highway 288, Angleton, TX 77515.

We will be giving away free water-related door prizes throughout the event, and this year we will also be hosting a raffle for a Rain Barrel System. Raffle tickets may be purchased with cash on the day of the event for $1 each or 6 for $5. All proceeds from the raffle will be donated to SPLASh (Stopping Plastics and Litter Along Shorelines), which is creating a cleaner environment for people, birds, and other wildlife in the greater Houston-Galveston region through community science, education, and outreach.

Breakfast and light refreshments will be provided by chapter member volunteers, and the chapter will provide a lunch and beverages for all attendees.
