Plants and Gardens

Creating a pollinator garden in West Texas is a challenging but rewarding experience. Knowing what to plant that will do well in our climate, in our unique soils and attract the most diversity of critters takes some time but is well worth the effort. You can create pollinator habitats in all kinds of yards using native or adapted plants that can bring many benefits to your life including creating a beautiful outdoor space for you and your family to enjoy while inviting nature into your life. Other benefits include reducing stress, reduce water usage (and bills) and helping to conserve our important pollinators like native bees, butterflies and birds. Let’s start the adventure!

Here are some resources to get you started! This is not meant to be comprehensive, but rather to give you some tools to start your adventure.
